Expectancy
Newcastle Multiple Birth Club provides an "Expectancy Program" which provides informal discussion groups for expectant parents of multiples.
Expectant families are encouraged to attend early in the pregnancy to have the best opportunity of attending all sessions of the program.
Our expectancy sessions are not meant to replace your antenatal classes. If you have any medical questions, please refer them to your Obstetrician and/or GP.
Topics covered include:
- special aspects of multiple pregnancy and birth
- feeding/sleeping/bathing/equipment
- establishing routines and organising chores
- community and family support
- prematurity; special needs
- mother's return to work
- developmental
- social and emotional aspects
